DAY 3 - THE FINAL 10

...a 'shoot-out' in the Formula Woman BMW, where each driver would get a few laps to set their fastest time.

However, icy conditions meant the assessment was delayed and there was only time for 1 flying lap each.

Claudia now had just 1 out-lap to learn the car, the track layout, and the surface conditions, before going straight into her flying lap. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Out of the 10 finalists, Claudia had by far the least experience, going up against girls who had been practicing in the Formula Woman BMW at track days all year.

However, Claudia set a fast enough lap time put her in a remarkable 3rd place—just 0.2 seconds behind 2nd place (a finalist from the previous year) and less than 1 second behind 1st place (an established Canadian dirt racer).

Claudia's success didn't go unnoticed and she was soon offered race seats from several different teams.

"…a complete natural in terms of her ability to drive fast and control a race car."

"Great natural ability... quick out the box."

"...clever to self-criticise."
